"Why don't you go back where you came from?" is truly a popular American expression. It was used quite frequently starting with the first few waves of immigrants from Vietnam. Back then, many restaurant and coffee shop establishments in the south (i.e. Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, etc) banned all Asians or anyone who look like Vietnamese. They could not tell the difference between Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc, neither from the faces, language accents, nor appearance. And they are so smart, huh?!
