No, it's kinda like saying that for America to be a true democracy, Gore should be President, LOL. But more to the point, your comment: " the need of finding common ground between these disparate groups is simply more wishful thinking. There are damn few examples of polyglot countries that escaped at the very least a split, and at the worst a civil war, after ethnic tensions kept under control by a dictator were released. I doubt that Iraq will be one of them, though that remains to be seen. What doesn't remain to be seen is how much the Iraqis dislike us. -- Carl
