Searle, in 1955 we, as a nation, were much more virtuous people. Only one person worked in the family and mom was home taking care of the kids. Most went to church to learn of fair play and a good moral upbringing. The one eyed monster was just a little toy that had local programming with the afternoon movie, Clarabelle and western cowboy heroes who always drew last and shot the gun out of the bad guys hand. Electronic media technology has moved so fast with 24 hour a day sex, including more and more violence and guys who love guys and girls who love girls comedy.
We lost our virtue, desensitized to any atrocity shown so that now we have a daily diet of crudity, weirdness, perversion and sex. I hold no hope for this world in general, until the degenerates who program the boob tube are ran out of business. An earthquake with a sizemographic reading of 8.1 in the vicinity of Hollywood would be a good start. :o)
