That's a distinct possibility. There are a few other scenarios, though. In the original filings, where he had purchased up to just under 8%, he stated the source of funds as personal funds and margin account. Maybe he overextended himself and had to sell when it came back down so fast, along with everything else.

Or, perhaps he really did make the move hoping the loss would not be so great (as stated in todays filing). Now he feels he can sell and buy back cheaper (never a bad strategy with NM ;-} I guess).

But I think maybe he got caught short of margin equity (just a guess). We'll probably have to wait until the end of the year to see a real move. That's more in line with their business cycle, anyway.
