Rob, Geron did ink a deal with Pharmacia-Upjohn in March, as mentioned earlier here; a superficial reading of that press release suggests that today's discovery is likely part of the deal. I tried to search on Science Online for news items dealing with the knockout experiment you mentioned before (for the RNA component of telomerase??), but I could not find it. Perhaps Nature? You make excellent points here, by the way. PB
