It won't likely be helpful to you but I'll share my reasoning. First, I'm more of a value stock trader than value investor as most here could be categorized. I hold very few stocks for multiple years but I often trade the same stocks (e.g., I've traded ANF about 4 times with holding periods of months) over the years. I don't think ANF is overvalued but neither is it way undervalued as it was in December. And I was wanting to raise cash because I think the market may have a significant correction that will present new opportunities - possibly in ANF. Also, while I don't do TA, I do look at charts and I see that ANF hasn't broken above the low 30s in a few years - maybe this is the time. So I pocketed a nice trader's profit on the run since the last time JC brought ANF up.
