Here's one way to make sure those who receive favors from the bush-league don't discuss them with the media. <font color=navy> Published: February 19, 2004 TEXAS: EX-MAYOR DIES DAYS AFTER PARDON David B. McCall Jr., a former Plano mayor, died of cancer on Tuesday at 79, three days after President Bush pardoned him for banking crimes in the late 1980's. He was 79. In 1997 Mr. McCall was sentenced to six months in prison, followed by five years' probation, for making false entries in the books and reports of the failed Plano Savings and Loans Association. He was mayor in the 1950's and helped Plano grow as a suburb north of Dallas. (AP)
