Whether there is a chance of it or not, we still have a right to put the issue before the nation. We also have the right to vote on this issue, rather than have it defined for us by leftist courts. But leftists are trying to deny us both these rights. You should know that America is a democracy, not an oligarchy.

In truth, I am only interested in giving America the chance to face this issue plainly, to hear both sides of it honestly, with no falsity, and to make her choice as to what she will be in the future.

This is important to me because I have long decided, and am now prepared for it, that should America choose to embrace homosexual marriage, I will leave the country. I want to leave knowing that America decided her own fate, rather than that she was forced to evil by a few immoral leftists. My last effort as an American may be to fight to make sure America uses her right to choose what she will be.
