the carolinas, the new banking center of the USA, are reeling from job loss due to offshoring and I think Bush is vulnerable there regardless of WHO is the dem nominee, I mean Kermit the frog has a chance against Bush in NC, seriously.

Not only has offshoring caused job losses but unlike other offshoring industries the *personal information* of US consumers going offshore is a hot topic in NC. Mankiw's "this is a win for the USA" is going to kill the republicans in NC, imho.
