Just to attempt some clarity here: homosexual marriage would not lead to bestial marriages or pedophiliac marriages. In the first case, an animal is incapable of making a contract, or of undertaking and fulfilling a reciprocal role. A dog can be a pet, not a partner. In the second case, minors are considered incompetent, by themselves, to enter into binding agreements, and no one can enter into a contract for them, even a parent, without being subject to review if it is alleged that it did not act in the child's best interests. Thus, there is a barrier to entering children into marriage which is not touched at all by allowing consenting adults to marry, even if of the same sex.
