I've never seen the country so polarized (and growing moreso), but then again, I wasn't alive during Vietnam. I giggled when Bush and Daschle on the night of the SOU talked about how strong the Union is. It's never been weaker in my (short) lifetime.

Z,

I couldn't agree more. I swear every 4th car here has a bumper sticker impugning Bush. People who have never seemed political to me.....in fact, in the past, they've appeared to be completely indifferent.......are having trouble waiting for the election in November so they can vote against Bush. And then the tv shows......they're hilarious. If they're not knocking Bush directly, they're wearing the peace sign. Last week on Friends, Phoebe had a shirt with a big peace sign on for the entire show until she wore a wedding dress at the end.

People are angry.......and let there be a close vote and another Bush run to the SC. All hell will break lose!
