I remember all the brouhaha about The Last Temptation of Christ. A close friend, an attorney who represented major mainstream religious figures, recommended it. He felt it was a true breakthrough at that time and should be seen for the beauty and emotions it evoked as well as the reality it presented from a director's viewpoint.

That is why I plan to see this film without any preconceived notion as to its' truthfulness or adherence to the gospel as interpreted by Mel Gibson.

But all the publicity has certainly stirred the Christians and Jews once again...history is certainly repeating itself much sooner in these days...well, anyway in the movies at least.
