For at least 2-3 years, Bush got his way on almost every issue with little concern for the other side.

He approved increases in social spending including a major entitlement expansion. He never welded the veto. If anything it seems like he has less concern for fiscal conservatives then he has for liberals. Also he hasn't gotten his way on judicial appointments.


Pul-leeeeze!! If it got him votes, it was passed. Otherwise, it was whatever his constituency wanted, including allowing higher levels of arsenic in our water. What does it matter if the American public gets poisoned? Getting re-elected is the name of the game.

This has got to be one of most politically motivated presidencies in the history of these United States...and that's saying a lot!
