Since you bring it up, what about the Highway spending? I remember a few years ago the arguement was we had a MAJOR SURPLUS in our Highways and Bridges fund (this fund is specifically funded by GASOLINE TAXES) and the money was being blown on rapid transit things rather then repairing our roads and bridges. Here in Fla. at the time our bridges were in terrible shape, I dont know if its been fixed or not. jdn
