Drudge initially gained his celebrity by libeling me on the day I began work in the Clinton White House in August 1997, reporting as fact that I was hiding police records of domestic violence. LOL Mr. Blumenthal is such an important man that Drudge owes his career to him. Yeah, right. Drudge was already well established when he published his story on Blumenthal. Blumenthal fails to mention that Drudge retracted the story as soon as he found out that it was inaccurate. He also fails to mention that he had to write a check to Drudge as part of the settlement of his law suit. As for his advice that Kerry should sue Drudge in the U.K., that would be the end of Kerry's candidacy. Mud wrestling with Matt Drudge is not very presidential and not very rewarding. Blumenthal can attest to that.
