So I just consider this as my conservative core income
one way i have heard of for theoretically capitalizing a pension cash flow (for portfolio allocation purposes) is to look at it as a corporate or junk bond (depending on the financial quality of the organization), treating the cash flow as the yield. i think William Bernstein talks about this in one of his books.
