Interesting that Edwards is targeting states which allow parties to cross vote. The cross voting allows for mischief by the Republicans. They can vote for a candidate now (possibly Edwards) and when he is made the nominee then they can vote for Bush in the general elections. Then in that case the superdelegates, who are die hard Democrats will decide the party nominee. So I do not buy your logic that getting Republican votes in the primary is a good indication of better chances in the general elections.
