Bob Shieffer made some good points on imus about his experiences on the campaign trail. He says he is surprised about the strength of the economic argument against bush and the uncomfortable feelings regarding iraq even in the south. Bush is seen as disingenuos on both. This is a serious problem for bush in border and midwest states. My view now is that in order for bush to win either two or at least one of three things must happen.
1. June 30 transition and some progress against insurgents in iraq
2. Jobs must start growing in larger numbers
3. Kerry sex scandal or vietnam war era embarrassment
Otherwise bush will lose and we cant afford that. So lets dig up some more dirt on kerry. Like if he watched korean soldier rape vietnamese children as he apparently said he did, why did he sit idly by? And if he didnt see it, why did he lie and embarras our troops as he did with many other charges?
