We have separate rest rooms and they are not equal. I'm sure that's next, what do you think? I'm OK with the state issuing civil union for everyone. I'm also OK (because as you point out there are always ways around the church/marriage issue i.e. start your own) with churches being in charge of marriages. I just don't expect people to have to accept thousands of years of tradition to be turned on it's head for a small group of people (and I do believe it's a small group of homosexuals that desire to be "married" and who will not be satisfied with a legally equal "civil union")
