Norton SystemWorks Alternatives

<< What are the best alternatives to Norton? >>

One alternative to SystemWorks is VCOM SystemSuite 5 ($60). It is an excellent product that was formerly packaged by OnTrack.

I use both SystemWorks (I'm still running 2003 with expired AV defs) and SS5. I'm currently running SS5's very good AV program (TrendMicro's) with frequent automatic updates (EasyUpdate). I like the included SS5 NetDefense firewall by Sygate and the utilities are on a par with Norton's and actually include several not packaged with SW. I do like the SW One button checkup and WinDoctor but SS5 has similar. The included file manager (PowerDesk) is exceptional, but I use the Pro version which includes an excellent FTP client.

Best,
