it was your man, Dubya Bush who increased entitlement spending by the largest amount in history, roughly 560 billion last I looked, as a sort of "gift" from the US taxpayer to the pharma lobby. No matter how many times the right wing cries "tax and spend democrat" the fact of the matter is that Bush is the biggest pork spender in history. If you really wanted to cut pork you'd dump Dubya, the worst pork spender EVER.
