What parts of Norton did you like? Maybe we can suggest some alternative programs.

Since I really don't understand Windows, I feel more secure with some extra utilities. Maybe that's not as important now as it was with, say, 3.1 and 95. Of course some anti-virus is essential. Other than that, all I really do is run the One Button check-up weekly, which always finds at least something to fix (often shortcuts), and run SpeedDisk from time to time. But maybe XP comes with just as good a defragger? I haven't looked because I've always just relied on Norton.

But maybe it's time to wean myself, and really figure out what XP can do well and whether I need anything else.
