Gary, most technical analysis comes down to volume and ticks plus a little psichology of trading, all of it is assuming you know about trading behavior and practice. You are calling Tuna paranoid, but that it is precisely what all TA (tech analysis) is about, trying to predict manipulation of prices (legal or ilegal, concious or unconcious)if there were no manipulation of prices then no TA would be worth it, you will only need to wait for news. Small companies and volatile ones are the one that the market manipulates the most.
I follow Tc-2000 and is quite good for my trades, the authors do not recommended it for short term trades, but if one follows the news and the stocks closely it does help for that too. Vivus case shows persistent accumulation and some mild weakness short term, nothing to be superworry about, and I hope it will prove correct in the next 3 months, which is what I need for to make some more profit (hope).
Please if you know what the basis for the waves, I mean the Elliot ones, how they are calculated and the assumptions behind them will be nice to hear.
Finally, your dissention does not sound so bad, maybe you need to add some of your fundamental worries. Your view sounds like you believe in Vivus fundamentals, but worry (in excess) and paralysed by the TA. (analysis paralysis?). |
