Ann,
Re: War is definitely hell...but the U.S. GI's are the best trained military in the History of the world. Remember the Romans?...now that's brutality.
You sound like an automaton. "War is hell, yah, so what?"
Being the best trained means that the U.S. forces are the most efficient, yah? The most efficient military forces are the most brutal, yah?
What part of "the U.S. military being incredibly more devastating to human beings than the Roman armies" don't you understand?
*** Re: What would you suggest? The military should deal with a Saddam Hussein who invades a neighboring country, so we politely ask...."would you puleeeeeze go back home, Mr. Hussein?"
First and foremost, I'd suggest you get an education. I'm shocked at how little you comprehend about U.S. foreign policy and the nature of realpolitik
For instance, have you read "Second Front" by Rick MacArthur, the publisher of Harper's Monthly? Apparently not, else you wouldn't make your extraordinarily childish comments about Gulf War I. You are a fool not to understand that the U.S. built up Saddam Hussein's military capabilities in the 1980s and then when he asked permission to attack Kuwait for stealing Iraq's oil and devastating the Iraq economy by using the stolen oil to destroy the pricing for crude oil, he got permission from April Glaspie, Margaret Tutwiler and the State Department. You are a fool. You don't understand that Saddam was betrayed by the Bush family. Do you?
Do you?
Do you understand anything?
Or are you just a childish fool?
Have you got one iota of a clue as to what game is afoot and how it is being played? Nothing that you've written so far indicates that you have a clue as to how devious and despicable American foreign policy really is. Sorry. You seem like part of the clueless club. But don't feel alone. There are millions like you. |
