It's not about "the Jews." That's absurd. It's about hypocrites, and liars, who pretend to be holy but are corrupt

But CB, the Jews are the Pharisees and the Pharisees are the Jews. The Gospels are referring to rabbinical thought, which after the destruction of the Temple and the Sadduccees, became the center of Judaism. These quotes reflect the schism when the rabbis refused to become Christians and the Christians left the synagogue.
