Some interesting verbiage from the February 23 Business Week, page 31:

"Although Greenspan did not single out the labor markets, the key to any decision on interest rates this year will come down to jobs, jobs, jobs."

And this, which I don't agree with, but nonetheless feel is representative of many people's thoughts:

"Labor conditions must tighten enough to push up wage growth sufficiently to feed into bigger price increases. Without that engine in gear, inflation can't get moving."
