Just 12 days after the Bush administration took office, the BLM approved the exploration permit, prompting 10 tribes, Congressional Democrats, the Sierra Club, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation to question the BLM's abrupt decision.</font>
Why the abrupt decision? Perhaps the $100,000 that he gave to the Bush campaign or the $300,000 he gave to the RNC or the matching donations by corporations that he controls had something to do with it.
Of course it didn't really cost him anything since he received more than $300,000 in tax savings last year.
