TC and Jagfan. Yours truly, an American by choice and not chance as you probably are, does indeed love this country very much because of a vested interest which comes with choice. I do not have to wrap myself with a flag, nor go around dancing in public places to announce my "born again" religious faith to proclaim my love for this country. Along with people like Lizzie, I am a productive member of this society in the high tech and biotech industry. Like Lizzie I have been a contributing member towards the prosperity of the 1990's. People like Lizzie and myself will continue to contribute to this society as an when we find oppotunities to do so or let us say allowed to by the Administration. We need no lessons in outsourcing. I am not sure about Lizzie's origin. But due to my origins, I sure am extremely familiar with outsourcing and even with the regions where things are being outsourced to. The Bush brigade is out to loot and plunder this country. There is no bloody way, you folks along with your person at the front of the pack, Mr, Mankiw can convince me with those economic theories on how good outsourcing is for Americans. Let me put it this way. When your Social Security info is sent to a data processing center in India, there are no Indian privacy laws which are 20% as stringent as the ones over here to prevent that information from falling in wrong hands. So economics of outsourcing aside, this is one of the reasons that "outsourcing is not good for America." I can go on and on and write a thesis on this topic and cite many other reasons on why outsourcing is bad for all Americans in the long run. But I am sure visitors to this thread would not like to read that. However, suffice to say that you folks need to think about this issue seriously instead of making fun of Lizzie and what she does or did for a profession. When my Social Security number leaves the shores of the US, I have lost it all. Think about it.
