Hi Insomniac (Like I should talk.)
I haven't thought this one through yet, so I have no specific opinion. "At first blush", it seems to fall into a category of problems that I refer to as the Luddites vs the Corporatists. It has been my experience in the past, that (usually) for such L vs C problems, I end up agreeing with neither side - for both are blinded. One side seems to be blinded by dollar signs, while the other has its head in the sand. Given "the nature of things", I'll probably have to "give this some thought".
<changes topic> (Polvie's hyper grammar)
I'm wondering if the Dems (like Dean) are peaking too early. Is this the early rounds of a Frazier-Ali fight? The Repubs know that pursuing policies that benefit only a tiny minority, they can't keep the popularity crown. But they don't have to. They only have to have it at election time. So, what's up Rove's sleeve? We know there will be a major attempt at snagging OBL, but what else? Will he again try to Goering (http://www.rense.com/general21/wara.htm) the public, as he did for the mid-term elections? Or this time, will there be a different strategy? We know he'll use smear tactics, but I'm referring more to strategy, than tactics. I see reports from around the country, that Bush is losing support, and that makes me believe that Rove will change the game.
Just trying to anticipate.
