Hey if you want to say your support of Texas anti-sodomy laws are consistent with you saying, "If homosexuals wish to engage in their lifestyle on their own property, in the privacy of their own rooms, then of course there should be no issue at all," that's your problem not mine…
Here is your confusion: You falsely assume that because I support Texas’s rejection of homosexuality, I must personally wish to seek out and destroy instances of homosexual behavior. I support the state’s freedom to protect itself. This includes punishing homosexual wrongdoers and murderers, in some instances even to death for their crimes. I myself have no problem with ‘butting out’ of homosexual’s lives if I do not even know they are engaging in their abominations on their own property. Indeed, I have always thought it most appropriate to give homosexuals the freedom even to kill themselves.
The question to which I responded had to do with whether I should ‘butt out’ of the lives of homosexuals. I answered the question with the utmost consistency with my views of homosexuality. You simply have failed to maintain the focus of the discussion, confusing one concept for another. (duh…)
Like i've said: live and let live. You should try it.
And am willing even to live and let them die, if that is what they wish to do. If they wish to live, I am willing to do that also. I simply do not wish them to force me to support their living or dying. Let them live and die without my having a thing to do with it.
Where would you go? Israel and England allow gays to openly serve in the military. Canada and much of Europe allow gay marriage and/or civil unions. Where would you go?
It is not a matter of ‘where would I go,’ but one of where I have already gone and that is simply none of your business.
Where can you go where you'll have the freedom to be who you are but where people who offend you won't have the freedom to be who they are?
It is not simply a matter of offense, and you ought at least to have the dignity not to reframe an argument you cannot properly assault merely to have something to say. The issue ahs to do with being forced to accept a false definition of what I fundamentally am in nature. I cannot possibly do that, however easily such filth comes to you.
I must say, if gay marriage will cause Christian Conservatives to leave the country, that might be the strongest argument for it i've heard yet...
Of course you think this. The filthy in no case wish for decency and honor. |
