<< you'd need to know the occupancies, possibly from the more peaceful times... What's the reservoir? The Balkans? European East? >>> from all I read few new hotels were build as recently as 2001 and then is this new one milleniumpalace.com.mk , which still does not have the English / German translation, may be you can help.

>>> What's the reservoir? The Balkans? European East?<<< At present I am not there yet as I need to find how much grants I will get those agencies are willing to take on themselves ... start-up cost (plaining training telecom, roads etc.) and the cost of finance.

Only after that I will check out the occupancy rate... which I know is crucial. On the Albanian side there is only one hotel with 60 rooms Enkelena in Pogradec.

The projct I think of will be around 10 Km from Ohrid the town and half of that from Struga. About 3 Km from there just across the border are Villas for rent for over EUR 300 per night.

As to Sky the altitude in Sar planina/popova sapka north of Tetovo is about 1,700 meter, near Ohrid they have in Albania 1,500 + mountain peaks so I assume in winter is not a huge difference the topology what matters

Thanks for responding

As to the site I am speaking about over 3,500 "dynym"

That how the Soros site describes the place Ohrid is one of the most developed touristic centers in the Republic of Macedonia, with modern touristic objects, with an international fame.
We have to mention that the town and the Lake are protected by UNESCO as rare architectonical and natural phenomena.
