Ted Re...The fear is very reasonable. There are no guarantees during an earthquake. I've been through a 6.3 and I know of what I am talking.
What difference does that make. The new reactors, by design, can't melt down even if 100% of the cooling is lost. In the old reactors it could, but they can't now, with the new designs. Secondly, you wouldn't normally build a nuke on a fault line.
There is nothing we can build that can withstand the destructive power of the worst quakes.

Nonetheless, Nam was very winnable, if we would have fought the right enemy with the right tactics. Johnson didn't let the army men fight the war, the way it should have been. None the less, lessons were learned, and weren't repeated in Afghanistan or Iraq.
