It's always more interesting when a mix of people get into the discussion. I rarely use private messages.

Re your concern about trial lawyers, Edwards has already addressed that issue. He said he believes lawsuits should be better screened before it's possible to take them forward. He agrees that there are far too many frivolous lawsuits. If you read his list of clients, you'll discover that he focused on defending individuals. Large corps have in past tried to steamroll the little guy rather than being concerned when an authentic abuse has occurred. If wealthy corps did not continually try to eliminate ALL lawsuits instead of admitting their are sometimes legitimate grievances, they could have avoided huge jury awards.

I vote for the man. Edwards has more integrity than Kerry or Bush. As such & as a lawyer he would probably be the best candidate to accomplish tort reform as President. I won't be voting for Kerry under any circumstances.
