It looks like Farah would rather cast soundbite aspersions than dispute any of the facts at issue in Findley's article.

Typical courtroom dialog, with a twist: if you can't argue the facts, argue semantics and stir up emotional dust.

Essays like that only confirm the writer's weak ground. It is congruent with the GOP's entire series of bankrupt arguments, starting with war, jobs, drug bill, immigration, and the economy. Everything is emotion-laden distraction, posting distortions of facts or avoiding them altogether. It's getting to the point where the lies are too unwieldy to be held together even with heroic dissembling.

Farah is no doubt in dependably good standing with the Bush neocon crowd. Not a conservative, but a neconservative, willing to avoid facts in the service of empire.

I don't know Findley, but a discussion on his or Buchanan's provacative essay would be worthwhile, if Farah or anyone cared to discuss the facts of the matters addressed rather than waste everyone's time with aspersions.
