States rights. Some places nobody can drink at any age. You mix apples with oranges.

I do believe states should have exemptions for military ID cards allowing the use of alcoholic beverages.

However, the age to enlist as well as the draft age (when applicable) is a Federal statute as opposed to the drinking ages established by the states.

Please note on military, the age of drinking is determined by Federal statute, not the state.
