longnshort, I believe the 2 issues that make people most angry towards Bush are: 1)Jobs: supposed economic recovery while job layoffs continue, outsourcing of higher paying jobs(after promises it would not happen), availability of only jobs paying thousands less annually than those lost & usually without benefits. 2)Illegals: Pres Bush proposal to give 10M illegals 'almost' amnesty without stipulation that the border would be tightened to control future inflow. The social problems caused by such a flood of illegals including lowering entire wage scale causing squeeze on middle class. If GW does nothing to address voters concerns on both counts, we will have a new Pres.
