Is the idea that Lucent is going to buy Ascend before or after buying PairGain, Fore and Xylan? Can anyone help me with the sequence on the Lucent buyouts? I figure if I can invest in companies in the order that Lucent buys them out, I should be able to pyramid my capital so by the time Lucent has bought out Cisco I should have accumulated enough money to buy Lucent. Actually I might be able to pull off a leveraged buyout of Lucent earlier simply by starting a rumor that I was thinking about buying Lucent and trading it on the ebbs and flows of that rumor. I know it might not be completely ethical for me to do that, but this is business, right? Baird
