The Company's food safety unit includes tests for a number of conditions common to genetically modified or engineered plants and food. In the area of water quality, Strategic Diagnostics' tests are used to analyze drinking water, industrial process water and waste water. The Company develops, manufactures and markets a set of monoclonal and polyclonal antibody products and services through its former Antibody segment, which is currently known as the Strategic BioSolutions division. For the nine months ended 9/30/03, revenues rose 11% to $19.3M. Net income totaled $810 thousand vs. a loss of $799 thousand. Revenues reflect increased demand for both the pathogen and GM Trait tests.
