Back when I was living in Arlington, VA, I was in a bicycling accident that I was pretty sure left me with a minor fracture of my hip (fractured enough bones to know one when I feel it).

At the urging of friends, I went to a clinic, had a doctor do x-rays. Doc says no fractured hip, only a bad bruise.

Two weeks later I read in the paper where the clinic had gotten busted on account of the guy wasn't a doctor.
