Brian, that is an excellent post. It hits the nail squarely on the head. There is nothing we can do for our own salvation. We can't "decide" for ourselves to believe. We will NEVER "choose" God on our own. It's not in us. We love the darkness more than the light. Faith is not something that we control. It's God's sovereign choice.

On one hand, Christianity says "it's all of God and nothing you do" and on the other they say "you'd better do something today because tomorrow might be too late". They can't have it both ways.

GOD DOES NOT TRY - GOD DOES

Exactly.

Now if I could just get you to see that in the end, He will do all He says He will.

1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

6 who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

God will be all in all (1 Corinthians 15:28). He has declared it, He will also bring it to pass.

Have a good week Brian.

PS: Sorry, I have to keep trying!
