What's happened with the "paper-trailess" vote issue, if anything?

Still an issue in many states which already have commited to the machines, and there's "no time" to get printers attached.

You'll know there's fraud if one (or more) of several things occur:

a) A "computer glitch" forces abandonment of exit polls. This was first done in the 2002 elections, which saw large suspicious last-minute swings between the polls and the election occured, always in favor of the GOP candidate. Eliminating exit polling reduces the chance of confirmation of fraud, by comparing the statistics of voters to actual results.

b) A large unexplained swing at the last minute, between the previous polls of opinion by multiple surveys (not just one, but Zogby and others), and actual vote on election night, and if that occurs constantly in favor of the GOP.

c) Continuing lack of media attention on the voting machine fraud potential, on the Diebold / Lockheed connection and etc., to the extent that the target states are allowed to proceed without a paper trail.
