My thanks also for posting your numbers. I'm would be willing to bet there are a number of people like me who might not often post back responses, but still are reading the posts that you do.

I think the next week's survey will be interesting to see how far it drops. In looking back at your previous posted data, it didn't take too long (such as the Mar - Apr 97) for the surveys to get from the 60's to the 30's. I think this one will be the same. It sure is driving the SI survey number into the dirt.

P.S. Ever notice how the 'universe' tries and usually suceeds in making you look stupid before it allows you to be right.
I notice this correction did not begin in earnest until you posted on Aug. 13:
"The sentiment indicators accurately predicted the June 96 and Mar 97 corrections, but apparently it bombed out in a big way in giving a false prediction of a correction in July 97."
And immediately after saying that, well, ... <BG>

Now I know you're going to say, 'well, the prediction of a July correction was incorrect', but that's only because you didn't give up sooner! <VBG>
