It is Bush's record that is in question. It is his re election first. He is asking for votes based on his performance. Regarding Kerry's record, his voting does in no way indicate that he wnated to weaken the country. He is a patriot and he has proved it so. He voted to make sure that he country was headed in the right direction with regtards to intelligence and the military. Who says that how he voted was to weaken thsi country? Rumsfeld foed not agree with the current direction the military planners are taking with regard to how the militray should look 10 years hence. Does it mean that Rumsfeld does not desire the good of this country? So the Repubs should realize that when they keep talking about his voting record in the Senate, they are portraying him as one who is anti-American. In that case we have to seriously question Bush's crdibility and the AWOL issue. When you sign up to do something, you fulfill the obligation you sign up to do, You don't go AWOL. I would say if you sign up fulfill it, Otherwise do not sign up and do what Clinton did which is avoid the military service by leaving the country.
