ROFLMAO! i, too, feel boring for always driving Japanese cars which never have any problems and are the safest in their classes, and which have high resale value due to their their well-deserved image of quality. i always wish i had bought a piece of trash SUV made by Detroit, so that i would be able to become friends with auto mechanics on a first-name basis, and would have had low resale value among all the black dot repair histories in consumer reports. losing all that money would have taught me to be more careful with my finances in other ways. hell, i have never even gone to a mechanic except for an oil change after driving Japanese vehicles for two decades. just think of all those interesting conversations i could have had in the waiting room at the GM dealership, with all the intelligent, maverick individualists who shun Japanese goods because they didn't invent the VCR--those really bright people who think Zenith is a more innovative company than Sony. i might even buy a Ford Taurus, which once used to have a quality image above the Camry but is now below the Corolla and more on par with a Kia (soon perhaps to be on par with a Yugo), but which fell rather in quality perception (and price) thanks to its inability to keep up with those boring Japanese cars which are too focused on quality.
