I'm still unclear on the "rising oceans" aspect.

It seems likely that decreased salinity of the gulf stream will result in Europe resembling Siberia ... that I understand.

But it seems to me that sea levels should actually DECREASE on account of a lot of precipitation that would otherwise run off into the seas being locked up as ice.
