Hi Nadine Carroll; Re: "You can keep repeating ad nauseam that it makes no difference, no difference at all, to US security whether Saddam is destroyed or rules triumphant ..."

Another way of putting it is to say that you, Nadine, keep repeating that it makes no difference, no difference at all, to US security whether or not all those American soldiers are alive or dead, convalescing with missing body parts or unhurt, stuck in a mindless war in Iraq, or at home preparing for our nations needs.

Re: "... whether Syria and all the other Arab dictatorships are afraid of our anger or rest confident that we are a paper tiger ..."

What Bush did was to demonstrate, once again, that the US doesn't have the ability to control rebellious civilians. That is a paper tiger, to some extent.

Re: "... whether the various AQ franchises have bases galore to chose from or keep getting kicked out of their bases and have to run and hide."

Iraq has been a major gift to Al Qaeda, but here you are trying to make it look like a defeat for them.
