If you actually check out Edwards client list you will find that he defended individuals who had solid cases. It's not rational to assume that every lawsuit is frivolous. Some are valid & those people need a lawyer. Edwards has said he would set up a legal committee to screen out frivolous lawsuits. Lawyers have almost as bad a reputation as politicians & physicians in the USA. But even in the solicitor barrel, you will find a few fresh apples--John Edwards is one of them.
