No, it's not the Repubs encouraging Nader to run. John Kerry has the most to gain by Nader announcing his decision to run, because it knocked John Edwards off the major weekend TV shows. They instead invited Nader to be their guests. The Kerry campaign found a clever way to direct a few million of Teresa Heinz/Kerry's fortune into Nader. Once that money runs out, Nader will drop out & Kerry will in that way have eliminated both opponents.
