Bush's AWOL record is only relevant because Bush is a super-hawk (chickenhawk) planning to run for re-election by posing as a brave warrior. When he was landed on the aircraft carrier to claim Mission Accomplished he even claimed he flew the plane and boasted he used to be a fighter jock. In fact, there is no proof Bush ever even flew any jets. He was trained in flying them but did he even fly any? in 1976 an eyewitness says Bush didn't even know how to fly a simple Cessna. So if Bush did fly, he sure forgot what he learned fast. One thing is for sure, Bush is at least a semi-phony. But Kerry by contrash is 100% the real thing. Kerry is still a marksman and expert pilot even at 60 years old.
