1) SPDI, (So-Young Kim, representative), with its worldwide patented variable transmission glass technology, participated in the international KOMEX exhibition of Koreas newest technology held last December 12-16.
2) SPDI, at this time, exhibited SPD light transmission controlling glass, SPD film and SPD PC (polycarbonate glass), and received a positive response from the visiting spectators.
3)SPD glass uses SPD film between two sheets of glass, and it is possible, with an electrical current, to control nstantaneously the degree of light transmission; it is, without exaggeration, the most advanced variable light transmission film.
4)The SPD layered glass, or window, or curtain wall with the SPD film application is an extremely user-friendly product.
5)Also, the SPD PC glass, used in aircraft windows by joining SPD film between polycarbonate panes, is unique in its field, increasing the product stability and UV-blocking efficiency.
6)The operational principle of SPD glass is that, in the the OFF state, it has stored micro-droplets containing polarized light particles aligned to absorb light so that the tint shows, but in the ON state, is converted to a transparent condition because the polarized light particles are arranged in a single direction, allowing the light to pass.
7) There recently became known both SPDI's mass production of the glass roof for the automotive industry front-runner Daimler Chrysler's state-of-the-art luxury Setra model bus, and a contract that SPDI will be in the process of supplying the domestic H-car sunroof. |
